So this DEFINITELY makes me a "stupid American" but I am so thrilled about my new knowledge of Siena: WE HAVE A MCDONALDS! I love Italian food a lot, don't get me wrong, but the prospect of only having Italian food for 4 months was a little daunting. Now if I miss my nasty fried chicken sandwich and Americanized french fries I will have a place to go! The funny thing is I hate McDonalds here, but I think it will have to suffice for my occasional fastfood craving in Italy. It'll make me feel a little more at home...haha...

no, actually you're just being realistic. i hate mc donalds and i never eat there in the us...but i've had it a few times here. if for nothing else than ice cream that is not gelato....i mean gelato is amazing, but sometimes you just want some froyo. i bookmarked your blog, so you better use it!! i can't wait to come see you in italia in like a month!
this is REALLY exciting news! hopefully they have one in roma or else i'll have to traverse many miles north for my filet-o-fish. lol make sure to visit my blog sometime!
Oh wow! You guys are sooo American! lol. There are Mac Donalds everywhere in the world. There is even one in Guingamp (my small town...)
Kate, I'm so jealous. Well not really about the McDonalds, but about fast food. I miss you, and I'm so jealous of all you who are going to hang out in Europe. Have fun!
